How Old Do I Have To Be To Rent A Boat?
The State of Florida Regulations state. “Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 must pass an approved boater safety course and hold a valid card or be accompanied by a person who does hold such card” Exempt are licensed Captains. What Is Our Policy For Damage?
The Captain is liable for the boat rented. Please see liability form required to be signed before taking ownership.
What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept?
Online booking or over the phone using a debit or credit card.
How Long Can We Rent A Boat?
There is no limit on the length of rentals. For rentals over 5 days, please call the office directly to book!
Is There Insurance When Renting A Boat?
Yes. We keep each boat insured for liability and hull insurance. The renter is responsible for any and all damage incurred to the vessel while renting.
Do We Get Instruction Before Taking The Boat Out?
The State of Florida requires all boat rental operations to provide boat renters with pre-rental or pre-ride instruction or orientation before releasing the boat.
Captain's orientation is the best in the area. It covers the characteristics of the boat you rent, boating safety, rules and regulations, boat handling, docking, emergency procedures, plus local navigation and waterway characteristics along with familiarization with the local charts and destinations. The captain is available to you by phone throughout your rental period to answer any questions you may have.
What Is The Cancellation Policy?
If you choose to cancel your rental, the following applies:
Up to 7 days prior to the rental date, a full refund can be issued
3 days prior to rental, a 50% refund will be issued
Any cancellation made in less than 1 days prior to rental result in no refund unless able to rebook for another date.
In the event of a small craft advisory the day of the rental, a full refund will be issued.
Do I Need To Refuel The Boat
All vessels must be brought back fully refueled. If not returned full, a fuel charge of $8 a gallon will be applied to the customer's card.
